The town has set on the advantageous position since the 13th century. The church from 13th century got through many reconstructions. Bystrice has another church of St. Trojice in Renaissance style with a cemetery from 1615. It originally served to evangelicals. On the Cerny Vrsek hill there is a Baroque chapel of St. Anna from 1749. The today’s city hall on the square was built to this appearance in 1808. It is the residence of the town museum.
